Use with hot runner molds
-
1
End of leading product processing
Remove the leading resin from the hopper and drain it into the cylinder.
- 2
Preparations
[ Detach the nozzle from the mold ]
It is not necessary to change the processing temperature of the leading resin if it is within the operating temperature range of the Z CLEAN™ being used.
If a dry color is used, the hopper should be carefully cleaned.
- 3
Cleaning the inside of the barrel
[ Loading Z CLEAN™ ]
The normal amount of Z Clean™ to use is 3-5 shots at a full load (increase or decrease) based on the color concentration level.
[ Injection purge with Z CLEAN™ ]
Decreasing the screw speed will further improve the cleaning effectiveness.
In the case of an open nozzle, the back pressure purge (*) further enhances the cleaning effect.Back pressure purging is a method of continuously discharging Z CLEAN™ by measuring while applying back pressure.

Cleaning the inside of the hot runner mold
[ Attach the nozzle of the mold ]
It is not necessary to change the processing temperature of the leading resin if it is within the operating temperature range of the Z CLEAN™ being used.
[ Purge the inside of the hot runner with Z CLEAN™ ]
Return the settings of the molding machine to the conditions in which it injects into the mold.
Also, the cleaning time can be shortened by performing a short cycle (cutting cooling time).- 5
Replacing the inside of the barrel with the succeeding resin
[ Remove the nozzle from the mold ]
[ Insert the subsequent resin ]
Set the processing temperature for running the succeeding resin.
Replace until Z Clean™ is no longer visible in the succeeding resin.
Implement this process with the same volume used when cleaning the inside of the cylinder with Z CLEAN™.

Replace the resin inside the hot runner mold with the succeeding resin
[ Attach the nozzle to the mold ]
Return the settings to the conditions in which it injects into the mold.
Increasing the nozzle temperature 20 to 30c will make it easier to replace the succeeding resin.
[ Purging injection with the subsequent resin ]
Replace until Z CLEAN™ is switched to subsequent resin.
