Use with injection molding machines

  1. 1

    End of leading product processing

Remove the leading resin from the hopper and drain it into the cylinder.

  2. 2

    Preparations

It is not necessary to change the processing temperature of the leading resin if it is within the operating temperature range of the Z CLEAN™ being used.

Detach the nozzle from the mold.

If a dry color is used, the hopper should be carefully cleaned.

  3. 3

    Loading Z CLEAN™

The normal amount of Z Clean™ to use is 3-5 shots at a full load (increase or decrease) based on the color concentration level.

  4. 4

    Injection purge with Z CLEAN™

Decreasing the screw speed will further improve the cleaning effectiveness. In the case of an open nozzle, the back pressure purge (*) further enhances the cleaning effect.
Back pressure purging is a method of continuously discharging Z Clean™ by measured shots while increasing back pressure.

If the processing temperature of the subsequent resin is higher than that of the leading resin, increase the temperature while implementing the purge operation. Conversely, if the temperature is lower, replace it completely with Z CLEAN™ before lowering the temperature.

Back pressure purging is a method of continuously discharging Z CLEAN™ by measuring while applying back pressure.

  5. 5

    Load the succeeding resin.

  6. 6

    Injection purge with subsequent resin

Injection purge (rinse) with succeeding resin.

  7. 7

    Molding and confirmation

Replace until Z Clean™ has switched to succeeding resin.

  8. 8

    End of purging.
